The Botanical Reserach Institute of Texas and author Shelley S. Cramm team up to open the discussion among APGA members of the potential draw this plant group offers – cultivating a network of resources and design inspiration among those gardens with existing Biblical plantings, and inspiring new plantings as APGA members expand and flourish their offerings and educational opportunities to their communities.
Bay Laurel Day

Bay Laurel Day

Date:November 5, 2018 Cost:Free
Join Shelley S. Cramm to plant and dedicate a bay laurel tree for Laurelwood, and “dig in” to the significance of the bay laurel in God’s Word. Shelley has treasured her growing friendship with Laurelwood since the release of her devotional Bible which features the plants, landscapes, gardening metaphors and imagery of God’s Word in worshipful essays. Last spring, she spoke at their Women’s Retreat and gave a presentation on the bay laurel tree, and returns this fall to plant a live tree in the church landscape and repeat the speech for more to enjoy. Planting begins at 1:00 pm outdoors followed by indoor presentation and coffee.
