The days are fewer and fewer until the devotional essays of God’s Word for Gardeners Bible are published all new—in a revised, illustrated format. What fun it will be to enjoy glorious scenery and botanical flourish on the pages of plants and Words from Scripture, an inspiring daily dose of God’s beauty from His holy land!
Until then, please put this newly published Plant Index to work, a handy help to locate information and insight on the plants of the Bible featured in God’s Word for Gardeners Bible, structured as a supplement to the endnotes and bibliography.

Page numbers reference pages of God’s Word for Gardeners Bible, of course; however, this entire index and many other cross-references will be incorporated into the new series, putting information at your fingertips for growing faith while growing your garden, connecting your landscape to the heart and heritage of ancient lands; that the routine of garden chores might become a melodic moment in God’s presence.
The Lord constantly infused His ways and wisdom in the imagery of the land and its vegetation—His generosity, His grace, His provision and abundance:
He causes grass to grow for the livestock and provides crops for man to cultivate,
producing food from the earth, wine that makes human hearts glad—
making his face shine with oil—and bread that sustains human hearts.
The trees of the Lord flourish, the cedars of Lebanon that he planted.
There the birds make their nests; storks make their homes in the pine trees.
Psalm 104:14-17 CSB
May the mention of plants we cultivate and trees we enjoy in the great outdoors ground God’s spiritual blessings in reality, an earth we can work with our hands leading us to our God we get to know personally. Happy gardening!!
